Why not Larry?

If the Allmans can release a 47 disk boxed set for $499???

The Europe '72 Box should have happened already!!!

Well I guess the schools you deal with pay more than the ones I am accustomed to!

I think a box would be fine if they also released every show individually so that the rest of us who can't afford or justify dropping 7 hundred for the whole thing would not be left out. It would blow if they released it only as a box as that would mean the whole tour would be pulled from this site with only the fortunate few who could purchase the box being able to listen to it any longer. You may recall it did disappear around 2006 for a while.

I think they took the approach i mentioned with the digital releases of The Dead shows from last year.

I think that you're right - a series of individual shows (one a month) could be released along with a box set (with tour poster, tshirt)

I know, I'm dreaming....
